The stepwise process of FSSAI Food Registration is as follow:
The applicant needs to arrange all the necessary documents and submit them on the FSSAI web portal. After submitting the application form then Unique code will be generated to track the Application status.
Once the application is submitted the FSSAI authority will verify the application. If your application gets rejected an inspection will be performed by the food safety officer on the premises.
Once the authority completes the inspection and document verification. The food safety officer will issue the FSSAI food license.
After the inspection, if the FSSAI officer is satisfied your FSSAI license will be issued within 25-30 days. The FSSAI allotted a 14-digit license number with its logo to the registered email ID, which needs to be printed on food items. In case, if there is no revert within 60 days of the application, the License will be automatically issued.

The FSSAI Food license has a validity of a minimum of 1 year to a maximum of 5 years. The applicant can apply for an FSSAI license as per their business requirement. The FSSAI license needs to be renewed within 12-30 days before the expiry date of the certificate, in case the applicant fails to renew it within deadline, they shall need to pay ₹100 per day for late renewal along with the FSSAI fee and registration.
