PM Narendra Modi has introduced a new scheme name - “BIMA Sakhi Yojana” on 9th December, 2024. After the Lakhpti Didi and Solar Didi Schemes, this Sakhi Scheme is a big step by the government. Women will receive specialized training and a stipend for three years to encourage financial literacy and understanding of insurance. Bima Sakhis will be eligible for positions as development officers at LIC upon graduation, and she will be able to apply for positions as LIC agents after completing the program. LIC BIMA Sakhi Yojana is a stipendiary scheme started specially for women with the 3 years stipendiary period. This scheme is also known as MCA which stands for “Mahila Career Agent” which is exclusively designed to empower women aged between 18 to 70 years. However, under the MCA scheme an appointed person will not be treated as a salaried employee they will work as an agent. Under this scheme women will get proper training conducted by the government and a stipend for 3 years to promote financial literacy and insurance awareness among everyone.

Step 1: Visit the LIC’s official portal - https://licindia.in/lic-s-bima-sakhi
Step 2: At this page you will find details related to this scheme, scroll down the page you will find a button - “Click here for Bima Sakhi”. Click on this button.
Step 3: After clicking this button, a registration form will open named - “Lead Application for LIC’s Bima Sakhi Scheme”
Step 4: Fill out the complete form with accurate details and information such as name, genderm nationality, address, etc. Enter Captcha and submit.
Step 5: Once this form has been filled the next page opens where you need to enter your state and city where you want to work. Then click for the branch list and choose the branches you will get in the form.
Step 6: At last click on “Submit Lead form”.

1) What will be the Target in BIMA Sakhi Yojana?
Each bima sakhi will have a target of ensuring at least two individuals in a month and 24 individuals in a year. If they do more than this prescribed target, will get additional commission with the stipend.
