Stepwise process for FSSAI Registration for a FBOs is as follow: 

Step 1: Visit the FSSAI Official Website - FoSCos

Step 2: Select the Apply tab and then select your state.

Step 3: Whether you are a Manufacturer or trade/retails or food service choose option accordingly.

Step 4: Next, select the applicable production capacity limit or turnover next, click on the apply for registration button.

Step 5: Here, you need to add all the necessary details for the registration and click on the save ad next button.

Step 6: Pay the applicable amount or fees. 

After completing these steps, the authority will verify and check the given documents if there will be no error or discrepancies the certificate may be issued by the authority.

Yes, an FSSAI license can be, as it has a validity of 1 to 5 years. 

2) What is the Late fee for a non-renewable FSSAI License? 

The FSSAI renewal application must be filed at least 30 days before the expiry date. Food Business Operators (FBOs) need to pay a late fee of ₹100 per day for every day of delay.

3) Is it possible to start an import food product without an FSSAI license?

No, In India to import any food product you must obtain an FSSAI license as it is illegal to import food items without an FSSAI certificate. Importers must obtain the necessary license and comply with all regulatory requirements to avoid penalties and legal consequences.

4) How much time does it take for an FSSAI license to Import the food business?

An FSSAI license application process time depends on the completeness of the documents submitted and which type of license applied for. Normally. It will take some weeks to a couple of months to obtain an FSSAI license.
