You need to visit the DGFT portal and fill the login credentials to login into the portal. If you’re new to this portal, you need to fill in the required details for registration and generate OTP and then login into it. While filling in name, email, mobile number and other required details, you can generate the OTP and login into the portal.
After login into the DGFT portal, you need to select the ‘My IEC’ button on the portal or you can navigate through the Menu in the portal. On clicking on services from the Menu, you will click on Importer Exporter Code (IEC).
After navigating Services, you will apply here for a request for the removal of the DEL tab from IEC registration and click on it.
Upon clicking on it, you will need to select the Active DELL orders from the DELL order list and mention the reason for requesting DEL and submit the documents, then click on the Submit Button.
While clicking on the submit button, you will see a pop-up on the screen to submit the Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) and then proceed to submit with the details. Then click on Submit for request. DSC is the electronic version of physical documents which is used to verify the identity of the person and to sign the documents.
On submitting the details, you will proceed with the Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) and then the user will be able to see the Acknowledgment of the request which means the request has been submitted successfully.
Though IEC registration is important to allow business to trade in the global market. But through DGFT Denied Entity List (DEL) some entities are restricted to export from India due to concerns such as National Security or Violating the important terms and conditions.
